Enchanting self-catering apartment in Devon

With views out to the beautiful Fingals gardens, treasured tennis court and Devon valleys beyond, Wisteria Suite is a delightful and quintessentially English getaway. Situated on the first floor and arranged all on one level, the outside of this charming property is adorned each Spring with the cascading purple blossoms of Wisteria. Come Summer, it bursts to life with kiwi fruit and passion flowers, making the private covered balcony a truly magical space. Let the outdoors in by dining alfresco, enjoy a glass of wine in the evening sun or kick back with a good book. The cosy interior also makes this the perfect place to escape to in Autumn and Winter, where the sights and sounds of the surrounding nature change with the seasons.

The accommodation

With two ensuite bedrooms, this self-catering property lends itself to a family, or couples. If your group is larger than four people, you can also book The Barn next door, which sleeps an extra six people accommodating a total group size of 10. The light, bright and airy master bedroom has a lovely hand carved double bed with adjoining private bathroom. The second bedroom is set up as a twin room with its own spacious modern bathroom. The main living space has a snuggly sofa & armchair, dining table and a compact, but well-equipped galley-style kitchen. With fast Wi-Fi and a TV, it also has all the mod cons you might need.

Located in the heart of the South Hams, Fingals is the ideal place to base yourself for a wide range of outdoor pursuits. With the River Dart just a stone’s throw away, you can take to the water by boat, canoe, kayak or paddle board, and even learn to sail. If you prefer to keep your feet on dry land why not lace up your hiking boots for a long relaxing country walk. You can follow the popular Dart Valley Trail which passes our door for 4-miles that will lead you to the historic maritime town of Dartmouth. Or blow away the cobwebs with a coastal walk on the South Devon stretch of the world-famous South West Coast Path. There are also hundreds of moorland walks to enjoy in Dartmoor National Park, which is only half an hour away by car. 

Dog-friendly Devon holiday cottage

You are more than welcome to bring your four-legged friend with you to enjoy the Wisteria Suite, along with the rest of the Fingals site and the beautiful surrounding area. We have two friendly Lurchers that call Fingals home, so we have lots of tried-and-tested dog walks that we would be delighted to share with you. We do ask however, that dogs are taken with you whenever you leave the property to avoid any damage or noise disturbance for other guests.
