Little jewels appearing in our garden!
"I wonder what spendthrift chose to spill
Such a bright gold under my windowsill?
Is it fair gold, does it glitter still?
Bless me! It's a daffodil!"
We are more than just a bit excited to tell you that the completely wonderful Dillie Keane is coming back to Fingals for a one night only gig on Thursday 15th September. Hot Foot from sell out shows in both New York and the Edinburgh Festival she will be singing brand new tunes, grand old favourites, gorgeous songs of love and hilarious songs of utter wickedness on our Croquet Lawn. THE DAILY MAIL says "Exudes faded glamour, a bit like Brighton sea front" - PERFECT! We Cannot Wait! Tickets £12.50 each + £12.50 for supper in the interval. It is essential to book in advance.
Can there be a Folly of Rainbows?
Isn't this lovely - Richard was in the right spot to capture the Folly under a double rainbow (you have to squint a bit!).
Too Often Around Christmas We Take The Words Of Carols (and sometimes our loved ones) For Granted. Have YOU ever stopped to think how you would feel if YOUR true love gave YOU a partridge in a pear tree??! This link contains crucial guidance for Christmas gifts:-
We would love to see some of you here at christmas and still have availablility for self catering in our Barn or Wisteria Balcony Suite or Upper Mill apartment. Why not come down and be festive at Fingals and enjoy a present from us of a 25% discount!
She asked for a broomstick - is this really the best we could do? Pumpkin looks great though!
Hiding from the real world!
The Folly is full of books and where better to retreat for a peaceful moment or two, a little quiet contemplation and some quality Me Time?
Beach Picnic Last year
This time last year Richard and our lovely guests were digging for treasure on the beach - today there is as much water in the garden as out at sea!
A holy tennis net!
We definitely need a new tennis net .... the squirrels have had a fun time over the winter!
Anchorstone at Sharpham
We're thrilled that our friends Clare, Jasmine and Will have taken over at Sharpham Vineyard Cafe and will be taking our boat up there on the tide for Sunday lunch. Looking forward to the fresh fish, mussels, crab or lobster with maybe just a little Sharpham cheese and wine on the side!
Welcome to the new Fingals cottages website. Our apartments are quirky, very comfotable, unique. Built round the central attraction of a beautiful grass tennis court and lush garden in a sheltered, valley close to the Dart river.
Each is highly individualistic and completely different and can accommodate anything from 2 - 6 people but also larger groups who want to be close but not on top of each other, who can then share the communal space.
Included in the price are a conservatory housed swimming pool, sauna and gym. Also on site is a sociable bar and communal sitting room in the old manor farmhouse, where there is a pop-up restaurant twice a week.
